Murray Park 4/06/2008 (am)

I arrived at Murray Park at 7:46. I started at the dam, went west a ways then back and then to the eastern most part of the park. In the eastern part, I found a lot of damage from the recent tornadoes in the area. A lot of otherwise perfectly good trees where destroyed. As often as I encounter Pileated Woodpeckers, I never got a decent picture of one until today when one was there and unconcerned with me. I recorded a call and later matched it with the Blackpoll Warbler. Left the area at 9:30.
