Saul’s Minnow Farm 4/17/2009

Dennis Braddy reported a White-faced Ibis at Saul’s today so after attending to some chores and waiting for Sam to get home from school we headed over there. We found the ibis as well as many other shorebirds most of which were life birds for Sam. Plus I saw a single Piping Plover among the Yellowlegs, a life bird for me too! * = first of season, ** = Life Bird!

Species seen or heard at Saul’s:

  • Piping Plover **
  • White-faced Ibis *
  • Great Egret
  • Greater Yellowlegs
  • Pectoral Sandpiper
  • Lesser Yellowlegs
  • Common Grackle
  • Long-billed Dowitcher
