Finally, the day I was waiting arrived. The Sun rose behind the Simmons Tower downtown from my vantage point on Chenal Parkway about ten miles away.

I’ve been watching the Sun creep southward over the last few weeks. It is almost lined up with the Simmons tower downtown.

It was a good night at the River Ridge Observatory. This was the fourth attempt at this object in the last couple weeks and the first where nothing went wrong. This is from a stack of 50 three minute images. Done with my 11″ SCT (Elf) at f/6.3 with my ZWO ASI 294 MC Pro.
