Pinnacle Mountain State Park 4/4/2009

I went to the park, starting at 5:30 PM, to see what I could see. I walked the trails around the visitor center and then walked the arboretum hoping for owls. No luck there but I did get to watch a Hermit Thrush taking a bath.

  • Pine Warbler
  • Mourning Dove
  • Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
  • Yellow-rumped Warbler
  • Turkey Vulture
  • Carolina Chickadee
  • Tufted Titmouse
  • Red-winged Blackbird

Species seen or heard at the Arboretum:

  • Tufted Titmouse
  • American Crow
  • Pine Warbler
  • Eastern Towhee
  • Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
  • Carolina Wren
  • Black Vulture
  • Red-shouldered Hawk
  • Downy Woodpecker
  • Hermit Thrush
  • Pileated Woodpecker
