“Fool” Moon over the River

Here’s a Super Moon rising over the Arkansas River in infrared from the boat launch at Pinnacle Mountain State Park this morning. Full disclosure, I had a lens flare I wanted to cover up so I used a full moon I shot a while back. I think it turned out pretty good.

This was taken with my full spectrum modified Canon T5i with a 720nm IR pass filter. As mentioned there was a lens flare from the Sun off to the left so I borrowed a full Moon from a couple years ago and covered it up.

Pinnacle Mountain

I’ve been suffering cabin fever recently and the clouds and predicted rain today didn’t help. But I swung by Pinnacle Mountain this morning to capture the steam that I suspected would be coming off of it after the rains. Not sure it is technically steam but looks like it to me.
