I thought I had missed my chance this year but then I noticed that Cactus Pete, our resident cactus, had two more blooms. I think the one on top may be done, I was expecting him to open. Four hours of time lapse photography reduced to sixteen seconds.

I was expecting clear skies last night at the River Ridge Observatory but if I couldn’t have that, this was an acceptable alternative.
