I visited the Kingfisher Trail at Pinnacle Mountain State Park this morning. It was a brisk 36F. The mountain itself popped into glorious view at the end and this might be my last fall foliage picture this year as we’re past peak. The pale leaf in the next picture really stood out.
Saturday night was a mostly good night. Dry, no wind, not excessively cold yet. The Moon was brighter that I wanted but what are you going to do?
I decided on shooting the Helix Nebula though it was fairly close to the Moon. The image is made from 132 one minute subs shot with my 11″ SCT at f/1.9 with an NBZ filter. The filter blocked most of the moonlight.
This Bradford Pear at the church across from Kroger on Chenal could cause traffic accidents. The trees are running a little late this year but are finally getting there.
