This was taken from the base of the Two Rivers Bridge with my Lumix DC-FZ80 bridge camera. I have the camera set up to always take three exposure bracketed pictures. I then combine them later in Lightroom before processing. It was very pleasant this morning, mild temperature and a breeze. I know the river is extra wide here due to the dam out of sight on the right but looking at this you can believe it is one of the largest rivers in the world. Number 17 to be precise.
I recently acquired an Ender 3 S1 Pro 3D printer. I’ve been wanted a new hard dew shield for my 11″ SCT (aka Elf). Hard dew shields in that size can be pricy, ~$200. It occurred to me that I print one for not a lot if I had a printer. So I shopped around. There are several brands, probably most pretty good, but the Creality Ender 3 series seemed particularly popular. I decided on an Ender 3 V2 for about $250 but decided to wait until Prime Day in hopes of a special deal. As that approached, I stumbled on an Amazon return offer of an Ender 3 S1 Pro for $400 ($100 off). This would be two steps up from the V2 with some upgrades that seemed really nice. The seller, who had bought a pallet of Amazon returns and didn’t know anything about printers, humored me and took lots of pictures. I bought it and amazingly had it the next day. Assembly was simple although I found that the previous guy had neglected to include all the tools that came with it. Still, I got a printer that would have been $550 after taxes for $400. I still took advantage of Prime Day and bought an enclosure for it to keep a constant temperature and keep out the cat hair.
