Here are some pictures from a beautiful morning at Lake Maumelle and the old WinRock Sod Farm. Several first of year birds were seen including Purple Martin, Tree Swallow, Northern Rough-winged Swallow, and Winter Wren.

I birded Two Rivers Park last weekend. My target was Gray Catbird which I found but it was otherwise not incredibly birdy. Here are some pictures from the excursion.
Sam, Jack, and I visited a place called “Country Loop Road” yesterday to see their resident “uncommon” birds – The Bewick’s Wren and the Harris’s Sparrow. This is not the only place you can see them of course but its one of the closer places to Central Arkansas. The Bewick’s was a no show but several Harris’s Sparrows were in the area. Here is a shot of one.
