Bell Slough North 4/13/2008 (am)

Arrived around 10:05 AM. Left at 10 AM. The area was flooded (of course) but part of the area was accessible. The gravel road/levee was above water until the flow-control gates between the spillway creek and Grassy Lake. The hummingbird was first of season.

Since I couldn’t confirm the Bachman’s yesterday I went back today. Arrived at 8 AM Left at 10 AM.

Woolly Hollow State Park 4/12/2008 (am)

Arrived with the ASCA group at around 10 AM. It was sunny and in the 50s but pretty windy, I learned later that a cold front was coming in. I think the wind tended to reduce our bird count. Left the park at 1:30 PM.
